Typical Sasak building

Rambitan Village is a traditional village of Sasak indigenous ethnic that located in central Lombok regency. It consists of a cluster of houses that are very simple in design made of wood, bamboo and the roof from dry reed leaves. The soil floor of the houses periodically smeared with cow dung, aimed to make it free of dust and annoying mosquitoes attack. The Villagers here still maintain their own culture and tradition, they have very unique design of rice barn with thatch roof where the design has been regarded as the symbol of Lombok building.
