Rinjani Trekking route
Trail heading to east rim
Pick up at 05:00 am from your hotel (Mataram/Senggigi area) drive to Sembalun Lawang will take roughly 3 hours. After having breakfast and some briefing of route details your guide will arrange National park entry ticket in Rinjani Information center office of Sembalun (1156m asl) at the official gate of east Rinjani National Park. The trek will starts with the gentle ascent walking through open savannah where local people mostly use as cattle grazing. Along the trek route you will pass post 1 pemantauan (1300 m asl),Post 2 Tengengean (1500 m asl), Post 3 Pada Balong (1800 m asl). After having rest and lunch, continued the last 3,5 hours steep climb among the pine-like casuarinas species locally known as Cemara to the camp site at east pelawangan Sembalun (2639 m asl) and stay overnight.
On Rinjani summit
At 03:00 AM starts for the toughest three hours trek climb to the summit (3726 m asl). After the struggle with the steep dusty and sandy route you will be rewarded amazing view of Sunrise and surrounding as far as you can see, when you reach the summit of the third highest point in Indonesia you will realize Lombok is a small island with a massive volcano. Down from the summit
enjoying view and taking pictures go back down to camp site and having breakfast. After breakfast descend back down to Sembalun where the transport waiting to transfer you back to your hotel
Peresean or stick fighting
Peresean is a Sasak ethnic martial art, where two opponent will be armed with a rattan stick and cowhide shield and fight each other. There will be judges and referees lead the fight, someone will be regarded lose when he gets bleeding. The referees will choose fighters from the crowd of audience, They will try to find equal opponents and when they agree each other then the fight start.

Teluk mekaki is another beach in Lombok that waiting to be discovered. It is located in the west sekotong subdistric among the south coast beautiful beaches. The best access is through southwest road and pelangan village. It features vast bay with white sandy beach.
Gili kondo located off east coast of Lombok island among three other gilis in the area. They are gili bidara, gili petagan and gili lampu. All of them still untouched by tourism but they have hidden beauty potential. It offers wonderful snorkeling and serene atmosphere. Especially at low tide you will see another gili called gili kapal, a beautiful tiny sandy island.

Kuta lombok beach
Kuat lombok is the second developed tourism area on the mainland of Lombok after Senggigi in the west. It is where mostly hotels and home stays located in the south, it has beautiful beaches and popular as a base area to stay for surfers that want to discover surfing spots in the south of the island. It is around 70 km from senggigi.

Senggigi is the main tourism area on the mainland of Lombok,it has a harbor for fast boats from Bali that crossing directly or via gili islands in the northwest. It is just located in the center of senggigi beach area. Some of the fast boats are Marina srikandi, Super scoot, Wahana and some others.
Teluk nare is a harbor located in the north west of Lombok. It is a harbor for mostly private boat of companies that operate business on gili islands also for speed boats charter to the gilis and where mostly fast boats from Bali dock on Lombok. The adjacent area are Teluk kodek and teluk ombal, they are also places where function as harbor in the area. It is around 20 km from senggigi and another 15 km from Mataram.
Bangsal is a harbor located in the northwest of Lombok that catering for public boat (out trigger boat ) crossing to the gili islands (Air, Meno and Trawangan ).It will take around 25-40 minutes depend on which gili you are going. The distance is around 25 km from Senggigi and 40 km from Mataram.
Kayangan is a harbor that located in east side of the island and connecting Lombok with Sumbawa Island with slow ferry. Ferries leave every hour and take around one and half hour to Poto tano harbor in Sumbawa. It is around 75 km from Mataram and 90 km from Senggigi.
Lembar is the main harbor in the southwest of Lombok that connects it with Bali by slow ferry. The ferries leave every 2 hours and take around 4-5 hours crossing to Padang bai harbor in Bali. The harbor is around 33 km from Mataram, 48 km from senggigi and 55 km from Kuta Lombok.
