Teres Genit is a village located on the north slope of mount Rinjani. Well-known with its beautiful surrounding with terraced- rice field and cool peaceful atmosphere. There is only one accommodation and restaurant available on the area named Rinjani mountain Garden. It is around 87 km from Senggigi.
Pringgasela Village is a village known for its traditionally woven cloth product located in east Lombok Regency. Mostly of women in the village use their spare time to do weaving by traditional handloom. It is part of the second source of income in the families after farming besides as an effort to preserve the weaving skill they’ve got from their forefather.
Rambitan Village is a traditional village of Sasak indigenous ethnic that located in central Lombok regency. It consists of a cluster of houses that are very simple in design made of wood, bamboo and the roof from dry reed leaves. The soil floor of the houses periodically smeared with cow dung, aimed to make it free of dust and annoying mosquitoes attack. The Villagers here still maintain their own culture and tradition, they have very unique design of rice barn with thatch roof where the design has been regarded as the symbol of Lombok building.
Loyok Village is known for its wickerwork product of bamboo material located in east Lombok regency. The trained villager in the village produces many kind of plaited bamboo handicraft where the skill passed down from generation to generation. Various products showcased in the art shops that are in line along the street in the village.
Sukerare is a village of weavers located in central Lombok. Mostly of women in the village should be able to do weaving, it is said they will not be regarded worthy to get married before they can do weaving. The village is known for its brightly patterned songket cloths. They have been doing it on their hand-looms and the skill inherited for generations. These traditionally trained villagers produce an exquisite array of Songket or fine woven cloths on their original design.
Nyiur Baye Gawah is a village located in Sub district of Narmada West Lombok Regency. Community in this village preserves wickerwork-making tradition by using Ketak material which is growing wild and trailing over tree trunks in the forest. It looks like tiny rattan but is very pliable and easy to plait and weave into various household articles. Ketak stems have commercial value for being strong and durable, water resistant, well- formed and natural in appearance. Among their products are laundry baskets, dish and glass coasters, tissue holder, trays and many more.
Banyumulek is a Pottery village located in Kediri district west Lombok Regency. Initially villagers in this village making pottery only for local daily use like water jar, firewood stove, fry pan, kettle and other household things. After the village well-known wider following the developed tourism industry, they got many custom-built orders with many new different designs, shapes and functions. Cooperation between Indonesia and New Zealand government starting in 1988, even guide them better how to produce more various and better quality pottery to fulfill international standard. Now days they have vast array designs of pottery product and have been complying with ISO 9002 on safety purpose.
Senaru Village is a village that located in the north slope of Mount Rinjani, it is well-known as one of starting point to climb the mount Rinjani from the north slope. It is home to some beautiful waterfalls on the Island with the scenic view of surrounding forest and gorges make it great place to do soft trekking to visit waterfalls or just to see villages life in the area . Accommodations are available along the street for trekkers and for those who love mountain atmosphere. It is around 85 km from Senggigi.
Tete batu is a village located around 2 km from southern boundary of Mount Rinjani national park in east Lombok Regency.
This quaint and scenic rural area gives visitor the chance to experience real and traditional village life. Rice field in wet season and tobacco field in dry season will fill the surrounding of the area, it is good place to do soft trekking around the villages or to waterfall that located nearby.
Sembalun village located in a plateau surrounded by range of hills just east of mount Rinjani. Divided into two villages of Sembalun lawang and Sembalun bumbung, Sembalun lawang is noted for one of starting points to climb Rinjani specially those who want to go to the summit. Both villages have rich soil and produce high quality crops. Garlics, onions, potatoes, strawberries and other kind of vegetables are among their product. There is a big green house farming project in the village and produce high quality vegetable for export commodity. Southernward of Sembalun bumbung is Pusuk Sembalun (Sembalun top) an area on top of a hill around 1600 m above sea level. It is a view point to see both of villages and surrounding from high.
